Life Update

So almost 4 months into deployment number 3! I've never been so busy in my life which is great because it's helping to pass the time pretty steadily!

So just a little life update!

Cleaning has been going well! I have also gotten some projects done around the house!  The front yard and back patio area got a face lift, and DH got a grilling / fire area!  I love it!

Fitness Update!
I just yesterday was able to do reps of 135# DLs, I used to not be able to even pick up the bar! It was an amazing feeling!

I also weighed in at 122! I have not weighed that since maybe my freshman year of high school, MAYBE.  Only 7lbs to go before I hit my UGW and I am so freaking excited, I hope to get there before DH gets home!

Thanks for looking! :)

It's April!

I'm so happy it's April!  Now if it could just be May, or even June so I could go visit my family up north.  I will take April though!  Nothing huge happening here for me, just continuing to concentrate on being healthy and working.  I've gotten a few regulars, I'm starting to feel like business is taking off and I'm loving it! Ideally another house or two and I can work 3 days a week and still have a few free when the Mr is home and has long weekends.

I've started meal prepping to make up for how busy I've been, it's so nice to come home and just heat up something in the microwave but have it still be healthy.  This past week was steak fried rice and a delicious paleo chili!

Sundays have turned in to Paleo Pancake days!

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate powder
  • splash of cinnamon
  • splash of vanilla
  • about 1/8 c of coconut flour
Mix it all together, cook up, and top with honey and cinnnamon.  So Good!!

Progress pic!

I'm feeling pretty good!  I ate some serious cheat food this weekend so I need to get back to healthy this week but I'm not to worried, I know I can.

I talked the the mr today, he's doing well and we're coming up on being 1/3 of the way done with our current separation.  Can't wait to have him home!

Sorry for the short update, more meal prepping tomorrow so I'll come back with recipes and stuff.  Happy April! :)

March Project

I'm trying to keep up with at least a project a month while DH is gone.  So this month I decided to turn the garage in to a gym! There's a few pieces of equipment I wont be buying until right before DH get's home but for the most part it's well on it's way to being done!

I wish I had taken a before pic but this is when I started taking pics:

Still have a few more things to add but it is getting there!

Chalkboard paint is ridiculously messy!

I found a new recipe for a protein shake that tastes like a frosty!

1 cup original almond milk
2tbsp dark cocoa powder
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 a banana
18 ice cubes

Pure deliciousness!

I also took a progress pic! I'm getting back to where I was at when the Mr came home, can't wait to keep pushing myself to new and better places!

St Patrick's Day Care Package!

Put the mr's Saint Patrick's day  care package together today!

Nothing to special in there, some candy and snacks that he'll probably end up giving away because he's a health nut but that's okay.  There are some paleo friendly snacks and a few things he asked for too.  Had lots of fun making this one even if it is super corny!

This was the first one I sent, kind of a send off package of sorts!

Lots of randomness in that one (games, smell good stuff, snacks, etc) nothing exciting but I like how it turned out.  Can't wait for the Easter package!

That was fast!

After 8 short months home the mr is deployed again.  It came as a bit of a shock, with only two weeks of notice though there wasn't much time to be upset about it.  We're over a week in now.  I was a little frustrated at first, he was gone longer than he was home, but this deployment wont be quite as long so I've got a pretty positive outlook right now.  I'm lucky enough to have a lot of great people around me to help pass the time quickly.   Now I'll have time to get into better shape and learn some new recipes!

Lost My Footing A Bit

Okay so the holidays killed my fitness levels a little bit. I was not on top of working out or eating healthy, I drank more than I normally do (meaning I actually had a few drinks haha), and then I got super sick.  I'm still a little sick but I'm finally better enough to get back on track.  SO here's my new Day 1 picture, 127lbs and not looking really to lose anything just to turn some fat into muscle and get toned.  I have about 12 weeks until vacation so that is my motivation.

I'm back to my strict workout regiment, back to eating healthy with ONE cheat day a week, the Mr is on board and wants to get back to killing it too so it'll be nice to have each other as motivation.  Work out time!!

We had a wonderful warm Christmas in Fl with the Mr's family and friends.  We ate some awesome food, drank some awesome drinks, and even added to our family <3.  Introducing Kona our final fur baby! Overall we had an amazing holiday and I am so very thankful my husband was home to share it with this year!
